The Senior Engineering Manager is responsible for the management, growth and development of the Inland Empire Practice, as well as performance of the projects they are directly involved with or responsible for. The Senior Engineering Manager will provide local focus, direction and leadership within their assigned locations, partnering closely with the Area Manager, and with other supervisory staff. Other duties may include, but are not limited to, project management and/or technical leadership.

WSP is currently initiating a search for a **Senior Engineering Manager** for our **San Bernardino o** ffice.






**Duties and Responsibilities** :






+ Has direct involvement with at least one or more client relationships, including SBCTA, RCTC and key municipal clients



+ Represents WSP in the Inland Empire, markets, industry associations



+ Partners with the Area Manager and HR to address day to day local office issues



+ Leads the development of annual marketing plan for Inland Empire Market.



+ Leads client relations management for key clients



+ Responsible to ensure that plans and actions are in place for continuous improvement in key client relationships



+ Identifies key local prospects, and leads (pursuit champion) or participates in the pursuit

# IMPLEMENTATION

>


The Office Leader is the local expert and takes overall responsibility for the implementation and compliance with the Project Delivery Handbook which provides the guidance throughout the project delivery lifecycle. This includes two main areas, Marketing & Sales and Project Delivery. The following represents key items with respect to each but not intended to be all inclusive.






**_Marketing & Sales_**






+ Fully knowledgeable in the use of CRM On-Demand. Reviews San Bernardino office projects on a weekly basis



+ Development and implementation of CRM plans for key clients



+ Identifying or working with project managers to identify opportunities. Working with marketing staff to set up a Go/No Go call. This also includes the preparation of a Risk Management Plan



+ If a Go is received either lead or be a key driver of the Proposal Phase Steps, page 6. Also, this is in coordination with the Area Manager and necessary West Region Management.



+ Fully understands and ensures implementation of the Delegation of Authority

# Job Requirements

**Experience Qualifications:**







+ 15 years' minimum management/project experience



+ Proven ability to manage a diverse staff/self-motivated



+ Business development experience



+ Project delivery experience



+ Bachelors of Science Civil Engineering or equivalent degree







**Preferred Qualifications**







+ Knowledge of the southern California market, particularly the Inland Empire and surrounding areas



+ Proven ability to develop and grow client relationships with SBCTA, RCTC, Caltrans and local municipalities



+ Proven ability to build high performance teams
